I’ve Lost It

I’ve come to the end and I’ve lost it

The need or desire for earthly profit

I’ve been readin the Isaiah Scripture’s prophet

I’m bowed low and humbled because I’m unfit

To walk on this cursed soil planet

From the garden in Genesis Adam and Eve made us misfits

No pain no gain none of man’s wealth do I need to attain

In the end I’m the one exposed in my unworthy shame

Life is a battle field with souls on the line it’s no Monopoly game

In the last of the of last days people use their gold to buy one piece of grain

To feed the emptiness in their stomachs and quell the hunger pangs

Stop tryin and strivin to get temporary things that will melt in the flame

Kings, presidents, and rulers have been set in place

It’s a divine appointment even if they spit in His face

He still offers His enemies mercy and grace

But they must humble themselves and consecrate their heart space

They lead the people of earth in a deadly and wicked rat infested race

There is hope for them all but I can’t be found in an expensive palace

In the final evaluation it’s God that will judge me

You will be judge by Him too but there’s a freedom key

Salvation that comes through repentance but you must humbly

Turn from the wickedness of your live it can’t be bought with money

There’s nothing perfect in the is life and if you make turn to Christ I can guarantee

This life might not get easier but we don’t live for now we look to eternity.

Humble Me

Humble me, crumble me, when I try on my own I stumble to my knees

Pride and arrogance are a word or look away like an Arctic freeze

Fire from the altar of heaven out of the mouth of Yahweh breathe

Burning and consuming everything in me that is not You I surrender in humility

It’s from You and only You that I find inspiration and ability

Humble me, crumble me, when I try on my own it’s selfishness

You have given mercy, grace, and forgiven my wickedness

I rise from slumber and take up my cross to crucify the flesh

Repentance is a daily delight as You my soul will restore and refresh

What will I fear in this world when God is my rock and my fortress

Humble me, crumble me, when I try on my own it’s a waste of time

Though no man made law I break my sin against You is a crime

I have nothing to bail myself out of transgressors jail not even a dime

Why You would chose to rescue me is beyond all reason and rhyme

But in exchanging my wishes for Your wishes hope I truly find

Humble me, crumble me, when I try on my own I unravel

A battered and bleeding soul lays lifeless on the gravel

The shame of failing You could be judged guilty and sentenced by You gavel

But the blood that covers me atones for my sin, leaving me in Your light to shine and dazzle

God the master painter and architect of my life to You I run when life is good or frazzled

The Love of God

The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.

Refrain:
Oh, love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure—
The saints’ and angels’ song.

When hoary time shall pass away,
And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall,
When men who here refuse to pray,
On rocks and hills and mountains call,
God’s love so sure, shall still endure,
All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race—
The saints’ and angels’ song.

Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Though stretched from sky to sky.

Verse 3 was penciled on the wall of a narrow room in an insane asylum by a man said to have been demented. The profound lines were discovered when they laid him in his coffin.

In Christ Alone

In Christ alone my hope is found;
He is my light, my strength, my song;
This cornerstone, this solid ground,
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My comforter, my all in all—
Here in the love of Christ I stand.

In Christ alone, Who took on flesh,
Fullness of God in helpless babe!
This gift of love and righteousness,
Scorned by the ones He came to save.
Till on that cross as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied;
For ev’ry sin on Him was laid—
Here in the death of Christ I live.

There in the ground His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain;
Then bursting forth in glorious day,
Up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory,
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me;
For I am His and He is mine—
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.

No guilt in life, no fear in death—
This is the pow’r of Christ in me;
From life’s first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No pow’r of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home—
Here in the pow’r of Christ I’ll stand.

Backpack

Backpack

What are you carrying in your backpack
A weight of guilt that makes your back slack
It’s there a journal of every time you’ve felt wronged
Resentment has you bound like a grappling hook that three pronged
Anger and fear intertwine around your heart
You want to be free from the baggage but have no place to start

Regret floods in as you look at the choices of your life
The reality is there wasn’t much you could about some of the strife
Accidents and illness attacked from seemingly no where
You left comfort at the bottom of the stair
The lesson of faithfulness could have eased the pain
But you chose to heap contempt only increasing damage of the rain

Forgiveness is a process completed over time
Just because you said the words doesn’t mean instant reason for the rhyme
Shackles and chains of unfulfilled dreams
Keep you defeated as part the your enemies schemes
What has happened in the past we cannot erased
But if you run to Jesus He’ll cloth you in grace

Open arms and open mind He waits for you to as you drown in the seas foam
You can find joy and rest for your soul and a place to call home
There’s only one way to be free from this prison
It’s a heart not a head decision
Be grateful for all that is good
For salvation, family, and every bite of food

Musing from Days Gone Bye

Everyday, everybody faces uncertainty. However, as Christians, we face it with certainty that Gods mercy, grace and love are abundant to us.

Pray first. Pray always. Make worship a lifestyle and honor God above all else. This won’t keep us from hardship, but it will sustain us until Fathers plan is fulfilled and revealed in us.

But we fight through the powers of hell to rescue those that fell under the spell of enemies portal.
On our knees Father hear our pleas to to heal the disease of the sin sick refugees
There is hope grab the rope you don’t have to drown in the eternal fire satans mote.

Comfort Aside

Comfort Aside

There’s a tomb that I walked away from that brings joy inside
It’s the home of anger, sadness, misery and pride
I held on to these feelings for years at a time
Forgiveness was free for the taking but all of it I would deny
Until the day freedom came and I decided to put comfort aside

Enough was too much and I had to murder the killer in my mind
I thought I was sleeping only to discover there were scales on my eyes that kept me blind
Handcuffed by imaginary shackles that with evil delight had no key to unbind
My soul was headed to the stake and the flames prepared to make ashes of threshers grind
Then a mighty wind swept through the wasteland of my life bring clouds of rain my soul to revive

It’s easy to sit by the stream and find contentment
Stay there to long and the heart becomes complacent
Feasting on the crumbs of bitterness only seeking chances to sit in judgement
Causing a caustic marriage of restlessness and resentment
But when the minutes of life are weighed and counted it wont matter if you enjoyment

Growing pains can bring discouragement and distort
The path to the place that’s a palace and you’ve been called for an audience in the King’s court
But there are giants in the land and there is no good news to report
The garrison of the enemy must be cast down and made rubble as you voice this retort
No rest will I seek in the mission of the Lord because in the end He is my hope and comfort

My Despair to His Fame

My Despair to His Fame

There was a time when push came to shove
The misery I was in fit like a glove
To wallow in the miry slime of self pity left little room for love
If an angel had appeared to rescue you me I would me them return to his home above
But there was a sweet soft gentle breeze that settled in like a dove

Bloodshot weary eyes begging for sleep as the cycle swirled so repetitive
Evil torments mocked and taunted me I knew he was satan’s representative
The blackness so empty and lonely left despair to remedy the heaviness with a sedative
But the eternal consequences would be far worse than knowing this hopeless wasn’t definitive
So out of the chaos and confusion I called out to heaven to me once more competitive

My soul was hanging in the balance as I lie on the ash heap
Overwhelmed by a past without purpose and no tears to weep
No fight or desire to rise out of the suffocating waters deep
Led away to the butchers stand like a silent and unwitting sheep
I had to get up and stand tall and resolve to not end this life in defeat

Then a familiar voice called out my name
It was time to shed the tomb and walk out of the grave
From a dead mans home wearing dead mans clothes into redemption no more blame
Freedom had come and I was free from the crushing weight of shame
Alive in Christ to shout His glory and spread His fame
